Recruiting Lead

We are looking for a Recruiting Lead at Vanta as we continue hyper-growth. You will own recruiting end-to-end, including managing and growing our recruiting team, building and executing our company hiring plan, developing consistent and sustainable hiring processes, and partnering with leaders and hiring managers across Vanta to build a diverse, cohesive and effective team.

This is a key leadership role at Vanta, reporting directly to our CEO/Founder and partner with the entire leadership team recruiting across all open roles. You will be a main driver of our business growth and responsible for doubling our team in 2021. We’re looking for a seasoned recruiting leader with expertise in technical recruiting and a passion for tech-forward teams and products. 

We take building our team and culture seriously at Vanta, and how you do your work will be critical to the company we end up building. It’s important that we continually improve in our recruiting processes and evaluate how we can create better candidate experiences.

The role

You will...

  • Own our hiring company-wide, including building the plan, partnering with leadership and finance to ensure our plan is achievable, within budget, and allows us to push the business forward.
  • Coach and develop a high-performing recruiting team, mentoring and growing our team members and managing their performance management, creating growth and career opportunities, and establishing team OKRs and accountability.
  • Foster a culture of ownership and accountability for recruiting team members and hiring managers by developing and implementing recruiting strategies that result in achieving OKRs.
  • Build thoughtful, thorough repeatable recruiting processes and structures that enable our hiring managers to make the best hiring decisions for our team and are reflected in our ATS.
  • Deliver a world class candidate experience
  • Ensure all people can find equal success in our recruiting processes, resulting in our ability to build a highly diverse team through careful monitoring of metrics, including working with hiring teams to continuously deliver an equitable interview experience
  • Define and own all recruiting metrics, including time-to-fill, close rate, pipeline and hire diversity, as well as diagnose causes and propose solutions as we iterate toward a more efficient recruiting process
  • Build our employer brand, ensuring we can identify and attract top technology talent from all backgrounds, competing with more mature and established tech companies

You might...

  • Have 8+ years of experience in recruiting, with 2+ years in technical recruiting, 2+ years as a leader/manager of a recruiting team, and experience in diversity-focused recruiting. 
  • Have a successful track record of building large teams in fast-paced, engineering-focused companies by working with teams to continuously improve the recruiting process
  • Have experience building out recruiting processes in Greenhouse. 
  • Be very organized and accountable and able to build high-level strategy while also being excited to dive into the details of end-to-end recruiting.
  • Be able to demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, including communicating clearly and professionally to executive candidates, presenting recruiting metrics and plans to our executive team, giving performance feedback to junior team members.

About us

We started by building the simplest way for a company to prepare for a SOC 2 assessment.

We started with SOC 2 because it was the most common way for an internet business to prove its security. In the course of building for SOC 2, we built out a suite of security tools that every internet business needs: laptop management, account monitoring, employee onboarding and offboarding, cloud infrastructure configuration, policy documentation, and more.

Over time, we’ll add additional certifications (HIPAA, ISO27001) and partner with industry experts to bolster the ways a business’ security is proved. We’re just getting started.

Our goal is to demystify internet security to the average person, equipping beginners with sane defaults and growing them into security-savvy principals who can explain how their company protects customer data and why their business is worthy of your trust.
