Types of logos
FULL LOGO LOCKUP
Full logo lockup: Using our full logo lockup is the most effective way to represent our brand and promote brand recognition. This is the preferred way to display our logo when Ilma doesn't appear anywhere else in layout.
WORDMARK
Our wordmark can also be used on its own when space is limited, or when Ilma already appears in the layout. When in doubt, this is the safe logo option.
FAVICON
When space is limited to a square or circular format, we use Ilma as our favicon (design-speak for "favorite icon"—in other words, a small, identifiable representation of our brand) to create recognition and familiarity.
Logo colors
The Vanta logo comes in two colors.
When placing our full logo lockup on a light-colored background, use the filled version (on the right). The outlined version (on the left) should only be used on dark purple backgrounds or when etching or printing on glass or crystal.
The guidance is similar for our wordmark-only logo: use the filled version (right) on light-colored backgrounds, and the outlined version (left) on dark-colored backgrounds.
Logo size, clear space, and placement
For optimal brand impact and legibility, stick to these logo size and clear-space rules:
LOGO MINIMUM SIZE
WORDMARK MINIMUM SIZE
LOGO AND WORDMARK CLEAR SPACE
As a rule of thumb, the logo should either be centered or placed in the corner of a layout. In special cases, the logo can be positioned at the baseline of a headline to give it structure by creating an invisible hang line.
Rules to follow
Our logo is a fixed asset—that means it shouldn't be edited, embellished, or tampered with in any way, ever. The following are examples of what NOT to do!
Do not skew the logo
Do not rotate the logo
Do not change the color of the logo
Do not adjust the size relationship of the logo
Do not place the logo on photography
