People Partner

As Vanta’s first dedicated People Partner, you will bring HR expertise across a multitude of people functions to play a critical role in the growth of Vanta. You will have an opportunity to build and maintain solid partnerships across the executive and leadership teams, to work through ambiguity and drive people decisions in the best interest of Vanta’s employees and business, and to provide both tactical support and strategic consultation to our leaders and employees. You will report into our Head of Recruiting and work in close partnership with our People and Recruiting teams.

The role

You will...

  • Build out the People Partner function as our first dedicated people partner across the business and our employees
  • Provide consultative, tactical, and strategic HR lenses across the company, supporting a variety of people operations needs as the business requires
  • Leverage your HR expertise across many functions (i.e. Payroll, HRIS, Benefits, L&D, Employee Relations), providing support as business priorities adjust
  • Evangelize and be an ambassador for our company’s culture, values, and mission

You might...

  • Have 2+ years of experience as an HRBP/People Partner
  • Demonstrate 5+ years of HR-specific experience in a high-growth company
  • Balance your strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an empathetic communication approach
  • Show comfort with executive-level partnerships  
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, jumping in and collaborating across teams

About us

We started by building the simplest way for a company to prepare for a SOC 2 assessment.

We started with SOC 2 because it was the most common way for an internet business to prove its security. In the course of building for SOC 2, we built out a suite of security tools that every internet business needs: laptop management, account monitoring, employee onboarding and offboarding, cloud infrastructure configuration, policy documentation, and more.

Over time, we’ll add additional certifications (HIPAA, ISO27001) and partner with industry experts to bolster the ways a business’ security is proved. We’re just getting started.

Our goal is to demystify internet security to the average person, equipping beginners with sane defaults and growing them into security-savvy principals who can explain how their company protects customer data and why their business is worthy of your trust.
