Building trust with customers and prospects just got easier with the Vanta Trust Report

Building trust with customers and prospects just got easier with the Vanta Trust Report

Vanta's Trust Reports

For any company, but especially startups, proving your security to customers and prospects can be difficult. Sharing compliance reports like SOC 2 early in a sales process can go a long way, but you may still be asked to fill out security questionnaires, which are non-standardized and lengthy. And neither a point-in-time audit report nor a questionnaire can fully answer, "How secure is your organization…right now?"

That's why today we are introducing the Vanta Trust Report to allow organizations to proactively demonstrate their commitment to security, externally and in real-time.

Showcase your security to earn trust

The need to demonstrate security comes early and often, starting with prospects at presales, all the way to renewing existing customers. The Vanta Platform leverages over 60 read-only integrations to continuously monitor your system’s security compliance. Now, with Vanta Trust Reports, you can showcase this first-party data in an easy-to-understand dashboard, alongside commonly requested security documents, certifications, reports, and more, to create a single source of truth for your security and compliance.

The Vanta Trust Report is easily customizable. You can brand your Trust Report with your own colors and logo, edit your FAQ to address the questions most pertinent to your business, and upload the documents you’d like to share with your prospects and customers to show a complete security picture.

"The Vanta Trust Report allows us to provide a central distribution point and consistent delivery of our compliance documents for our customers." - Jeff Holland, Lead Security Engineer, Codecov

Streamline your security reviews

Going through vendor reviews and filling out security questionnaires is an error-prone, time-consuming, and repetitive process. Vanta Trust Reports can decrease time spent going back and forth by proactively addressing security questions, objections, and common data requests.

"Vanta's Trust Report helped us significantly cut down on the back-and-forth we had with prospects when it came to explaining Wordcab's existing security and compliance controls. Now we just enable individual access to our Trust Report, and most questions are answered on the spot," Aleks Smechov, Co-Founder and CEO, Wordcab

Endless questions and demands for information don’t just wear on your team — they can also prolong a sales cycle or derail an in-flight deal. Sending a Trust Report can keep sales moving forward by putting pertinent information at your prospects’ fingertips. And the ability to review analytics to see which prospects are viewing your Trust Report tells you who is engaged and helps you guide the conversation.

“As an early-stage SaaS company, we have to work hard to demonstrate we're taking security seriously. With the Vanta Trust Report, we can clearly articulate the certifications, controls, and practices we have in place, which instills trust and accelerates our sales cycles.” - Christopher Evans, Co-Founder, and Chief Product Officer, incident.io

PCI Compliance Selection Guide

Determine Your PCI Compliance Level

If your organization processes, stores, or transmits cardholder data, you must comply with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), a global mandate created by major credit card companies. Compliance is mandatory for any business that accepts credit card payments.

When establishing strategies for implementing and maintaining PCI compliance, your organization needs to understand what constitutes a Merchant or Service Provider, and whether a Self Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) or Report on Compliance (ROC) is most applicable to your business.

Answer a few short questions and we’ll help identify your compliance level.

Identify your PCI SAQ or ROC level

The PCI Security Standards Council has established the below criteria for Merchant and Service Provider validation. Use these descriptions to help determine the SAQ or ROC that best applies to your organization.

Good news! Vanta supports all of the following compliance levels:

SAQ A

A SAQ A is required for Merchants that do not require the physical presence of a credit card (like an eCommerce, mail, or telephone purchase). This means that the Merchant’s business has fully outsourced all cardholder data processing to PCI DSS compliant third party Service Providers, with no electronic storage, processing, or transmission of any cardholder data on the Merchant’s system or premises.

Get PCI DSS certified

SAQ A-EP

A SAQ A-EP is similar to a SAQ A, but is a requirement for Merchants that don't receive cardholder data, but control how cardholder data is redirected to a PCI DSS validated third-party payment processor.

SAQ D
for service providers

A SAQ D includes over 200 requirements and covers the entirety of PCI DSS compliance. If you are a Service Provider, a SAQ D is the only SAQ you’re eligible to complete.

ROC
Level 1 for service providers

A Report on Compliance (ROC) is an annual assessment that determines your organization’s ability to protect cardholder data. If you’re a Merchant that processes over six million transactions annually or a Service Provider that processes more than 300,000 transactions annually, your organization is responsible for both a ROC and an Attestation of Compliance (AOC).
