Vanta accelerates growth with new Service Partner Program

We’re excited to announce the launch of our Vanta Service Partner Program. Over the last few months, we’ve been working alongside security and compliance leaders to deliver the best automated and comprehensive solution to our customers, giving smaller businesses enterprise-level protection.

Managed services—which represent a $30B market—are closing the SMB security gap by providing more agile programs, and are partnering with best-in-class providers like Vanta to help strengthen their customers’ security posture.

By partnering with the most prominent virtual Chief Information Security Officers (vCISOs), managed security service providers (MSSPs), managed service providers (MSPs), and advisory/consulting firms, we offer an easy way for companies to get and stay compliant. With Vanta as their foundational tool, our partners are able to offer a larger breadth of security offerings and increase overall customer satisfaction.

Enterprise level protection with Service Partner Program

Cyber threats and new regulations can take a toll on small businesses. As bad actors become more sophisticated, small businesses are falling victim to ransomware, social engineering, and phishing attacks. Large businesses may have the resources to fight and survive such attacks, but small businesses often buckle under the weight. In fact, 60% of SMBs go out of business within six months of getting hacked.

Through our partnerships, we enable companies with compliance automation in order to continuously monitor people, systems, and tools to improve security. The Service Partner Program offers a broad range of cybersecurity capabilities with agile features in order for businesses of every size to enhance their security posture. The Service Partner Program includes:

Product insights

Enrich your existing services through early access to product roadmaps and releases.  Build tools that help better operationalize your business and collaborate with key Vanta leadership on a quarterly basis.

Growing your tech stack

As part of Vanta’s larger ecosystem, we’re also doubling down on our Connectors API and continuing to expand our platform integrations to support incident management, security training, MDM, and more. As a company’s cyber tech stack grows, so does their need to integrate with all current tools. That’s why we’re expanding our vast library of growing native and third party integrations to support any business system.

In parallel with our ever-growing integrations, we’ve recently added support for 10 new security and privacy frameworks. Vanta centralizes each framework with guided scoping, policies, controls, automated evidence collection, and continuous monitoring in order for businesses of any size to get ready for audit or prove attestation quickly.

Vanta’s Service Partner Program is another step in enabling our customers to get and stay compliant as they scale. To learn more about the program, check out our partner page or sign up to become a partner.

The ultimate guide to scaling your compliance program

PCI Compliance Selection Guide

Determine Your PCI Compliance Level

If your organization processes, stores, or transmits cardholder data, you must comply with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), a global mandate created by major credit card companies. Compliance is mandatory for any business that accepts credit card payments.

When establishing strategies for implementing and maintaining PCI compliance, your organization needs to understand what constitutes a Merchant or Service Provider, and whether a Self Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) or Report on Compliance (ROC) is most applicable to your business.

Answer a few short questions and we’ll help identify your compliance level.

Identify your PCI SAQ or ROC level

The PCI Security Standards Council has established the below criteria for Merchant and Service Provider validation. Use these descriptions to help determine the SAQ or ROC that best applies to your organization.

Good news! Vanta supports all of the following compliance levels:

SAQ A

A SAQ A is required for Merchants that do not require the physical presence of a credit card (like an eCommerce, mail, or telephone purchase). This means that the Merchant’s business has fully outsourced all cardholder data processing to PCI DSS compliant third party Service Providers, with no electronic storage, processing, or transmission of any cardholder data on the Merchant’s system or premises.

Get PCI DSS certified

SAQ A-EP

A SAQ A-EP is similar to a SAQ A, but is a requirement for Merchants that don't receive cardholder data, but control how cardholder data is redirected to a PCI DSS validated third-party payment processor.

SAQ D
for service providers

A SAQ D includes over 200 requirements and covers the entirety of PCI DSS compliance. If you are a Service Provider, a SAQ D is the only SAQ you’re eligible to complete.

Use our PCI checklist

ROC
Level 1 for service providers

A Report on Compliance (ROC) is an annual assessment that determines your organization’s ability to protect cardholder data. If you’re a Merchant that processes over six million transactions annually or a Service Provider that processes more than 300,000 transactions annually, your organization is responsible for both a ROC and an Attestation of Compliance (AOC).
