What’s New in Vanta: Snyk, Azure DevOps, redesigned people page, and more

Boris Logvinsky, Product Lead

Over the past few weeks, we’ve rolled out some exciting updates to Vanta, including new integrations with Snyk and Azure DevOps as well as helpful features to help you more easily manage your employees’ access. Here are a few of the things we’ve been working on:

Support for Snyk Vulnerability Scanning:

Now, Vanta will collect projects and vulnerabilities from Snyk and display them under a new tab on the vulnerabilities page. You’ll be alerted if new vulnerabilities are added as well as if any of your vulnerabilities are approaching SLAs, so you can track remediation.

We’ve also added a small, but much requested feature to the vulnerabilities page: search functionality! Now, you can search by name or sort vulnerabilities by due date.

Support for Azure DevOps Repos:

Vanta now integrates with Azure DevOps, the fourth major version control service we support (the others being GitHub, GitLab, and Atlassian Bitbucket). For Azure DevOps users, Vanta will now automatically pull in Azure Repos and run automated tests against them, which means you’ll take fewer screenshots at audit time.

In the coming weeks, we’ll be expanding the functionality of this integration to also pull in user accounts and work items from Azure Boards.

You can find and add both Snyk and Azure DevOps on Vanta’s connections page.

Access management made easier with redesigned people page

As your company grows, it becomes more important - and more difficult - to ensure that employees are on- and off-boarded properly. We designed our people page to give you one place to keep track of your current and former employees and manage their access. This week, we’ve rolled out several features and design enhancements to help you complete these critical tasks more efficiently.

When you go to your people page, you’ll now see start and end dates for all employees in the table. We’ve also added several new filters so you can view people by their onboarding status, employment type (full time employee or contractor), date range, and more. And finally, when you click on a person’s name, you’ll be taken directly to their onboarding / onboarding status and access. These changes make it easier to view the information you want and ensure that you have the proper access controls in place.

We’re always working to make Vanta more helpful and intuitive. As always, we appreciate and value your feedback!
